Natural Parenting Advocate - Haniza Jamaludin

Fondly known as Hanz, is a mother to three boys, both AMANI Birth & HypnoBirthing Practitioner and Certified Lactation Counsellor.

Loving Natural Parenting since the birth of her first child through active involvement in a breastfeeding support group, one thing lead to another. The birth of her youngest son and having experienced the gentle birthing herself opened up another path which she is passionate about and keeps her busy nowadays, the world of gentle birthing.

Armed with certification and trained in Early Childhood Education is an added advantage for her involvement as active naturalist advocates to communities of parents. A firm believer that the Natural Parenting approach and lifestyle can easily be adopted by parents as it is just so natural as nature intended.

Low Sheau Shy

Low Sheau Shy is a certified practitioner, creative visualisation facilitator and trainer at The Golden Space Malaysia. Prior to becoming a full time practitioner, Low has been working in the accounting industry for 11 years. Ever since she was young, she always felt that she was bigger than who she was. She was driven to find out her own inner voice and to understand her own truth.  The various challenging work & life situations brought her towards her spiritual journey in discovering her own inner peace and love.

Since 2011, she has been facilitating creative visualization classes and providing coaching to her clients. She specializes in using energy reading to help each of her clients to find clarity in the problems that they face – in order to find the root cause and solutions to their situation. Low is passionate in empowering and motivating her clients to move forward in their lives.

By her personal experiences in overcoming all her fears and discovering her own self worth, she is deeply inspired to use her gifts and inner strength to inspire others to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.

In line with this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), the Gentle Birthing Group of Malaysia are hosting their 3rd annual IWD Gentle Birthing Conference on Sunday 8th March 2015! The event is designed for pregnant women wanting to know more about Gentle and Natural Birthing options in Malaysia and how to turn their birthing wishes into reality. 

International Speaker and Trainer - Di Bustamante

​Di's passion for calm and gentle childbirth has led her to specialize in hypnosis and HypnoBirthing®. Di completed her training and certification as a doula and childbirth educator with Childbirth International and is the Regional Liaison and faculty member of the HypnoBirthing Institute™. 'She has also certified to teach Dunstan Baby Language so parents will know how to interpret their baby's cries.

After spending twenty years in administrative management with ROLM Corporation, IBM and Siemens, she made a drastic career change after the birth of her daughter. She volunteered and then became the Director of the non profit organization, Sidelines of Arizona. This organization provided peer counselling support and resources for women experiencing pregnancy complications. While in that position she received the JC Penny Volunteer Award. 

Over a 12 year period, she developed ParentLink into a franchise of 3 locations. Singapore is the original location and whilst she is now in the United States, SE Asia will always be near and dear to her heart.

Breastfeeding Counselor, Holistic Wellness and Fitness Coach - Gina Yong


Gina Yong is a highly energetic and driven Entrepreneur who enjoys sharing knowledge and experiences with others.

Gina who is a mother to 4 beautiful and healthy children, believes that Health (which starts with being breastfed) is the most important thing in Life and that it is our responsibility to preserve it. Gina advocates Natural Parenting – from a healthy pregnancy to a natural gentle birth which will lead to naturally breastfeeding. She failed to breastfeed her eldest son but after much determination and research, she successfully breastfeed her three younger ones. 

Since 2002, Gina has helped thousands of parents successfully breastfeed their babies and coached them in giving the best of life to their children. Gina founded The Breastfeeding Advocates Network (TBAN) on Facebook in 2009 and Gina’s Place, the breastfeeding post-natal (confinement) centre in 2014. She is also the author of  “Love Breastfeeding”. Trained in USA, Gina is much sought-after as a speaker in various groups for her knowledge of Breastfeeding, Holistic Wellness and Fitness Nutrition.

Gina is passionate and dedicated to helping others exceed excellence. She hopes that through her education and research, more babies will be added to the growing statistics of “Exclusively fed on Mommy’s Milk”.

Canadian Doula - Susan Irwin 

Susan McGregor Irwin is a DONA trained doula from Ontario, Canada.  She has been supporting women as a doula and childbirth educator since 2007 and has worked with birthing families in Canada, China, and Malaysia.  Susan has been living in KL for two years with her husband and two children, and she loves attending gentle births and being a part of the Gentle Birth community.

Local Childbirth Expert - Nadine Ghows


Nadine is a certified HypnoBirthing Childbirth & Amani Educator, an AMANI Birth Doula and a Dunstan Baby Language Breastfeeding & Newborn Care Educator. She has been involved in the natural birth and breastfeeding community in the Klang Valley since 2008.

She co-founded the Gentle Birthing Group in early 2009, with a group of like-minded mothers. She became interested in birth when she was pregnant with her first child in 2007 and has been involved in many projects ever since. She has contributed greatly to raising awareness about birth on a formal scale among the Malaysian public.

A nominee for the “Great Women of Our Time” Award by The Malaysian Women’s Weekly in 2012, she is currently writing a book about birth and has two beautiful daughters who keep her busy.
